We have a real treat for you today as we put on our explorer pants and try to find the best 3D globe puzzle! We have already looked at some pretty awesome world map puzzles that we had a lot of fun with.

We have also looked at some cool 3D puzzles and now we are mashing together and exploring the world like we are Willy Fog. These puzzles are an awesome way to have some fun and learn a little more about this big spinning rock we call home.

3D puzzles also are a much different kind of challenge than a regular jigsaw puzzle as they require a bit more hand-eye coordination and a bit better use of your fine motor skills too!

In the 80s there was a fun anime for kids called, Around the World with Willy Fog which was about a lion explorer called Willy Fog that traveled around the world, getting into all kinds of adventures.

Finding The Right 3D Globe Puzzles For You

We made sure that we had our combat pants on, a machete, a survival pack, and a good supply of trail mix as we sat down at the computer to find the best 3D globe puzzle for you. Someone accidentally stabbed themselves in the leg and that is why this is the last time we will dress up before finding fun puzzles!

Anyway, there are far more 3D globe puzzles than you would think so we have a challenging time picking the best, but we feel the selection we have for you today is pretty cool!

We've been working hard to find the coolest products for you that will make your life easier and more fun. Each product has been independently selected by our editors. Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

We did a whole guide on Game of Thrones Puzzles a little while back and to be honest, this one nearly made it onto that list! However, we feel this is perfect for this guide here.

Any fan of Game of Thrones is going to get a huge kick out of this as it is the world that we know and love. We love how old-timey this thing looks and it has the kind of design that makes it look like something that could be on the show.

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

With this awesome puzzle, you get a great view of the entire world and you will even know where Rand McNally is!

This is from a classic episode of The Simpsons where Bart thinks that the manufacturer of their globe, Rand McNally is a country! Ahh, the classic first ten seasons of The Simpsons, are full of so many classic moments!

What we think is really neat about this one and what could have made it appear on our cool puzzles list is that it has a bit of an old-school look about it. We mean “old school” literally, as it looks like the kind of globe that you would have had in your classroom when you were a kid and would study the detailed surface with all the countries and even some cities.

This is also a very challenging 3D globe puzzle to put together, but the good thing is that the pieces are numbered to provide direction in the building process.

Good To Know

  • Size: 10.5 x 10.5 x 3.25 inches
  • Recommended age: 10 years and up
  • Comes with a metal display stand
  • Premium quality from Ravensburger as always - smooth and sturdy globe that doesn't even need any glue!
  • This is a cool puzzle if you want one that looks like an actual globe

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

We are huge fans of wooden brain-teaser puzzles here at Geek’s Oasis and as soon as we noticed this one, we knew it had to make our list.

Not only is this a 3D puzzle in the traditional sense, but there is also a puzzle within the puzzle where you had to try and figure out the hidden code! This thing is awesome and has a bit of a Jules Verne thing about it which we think is very cool.

We get some major Jules Verne, From Earth to the Moon vibes from this puzzle, it actually looks like something you would see in the queue for Space Mountain at one of the Disney Parks!

Good To Know

  • Size: 7.9 x 6.6 x 11.5 inches
  • Recommended age: 14 years and up
  • Not only does this puzzle actually move, but you can also connect a USB cable to it and it lights up as well!

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

We will admit that we debated if this one should make our 3D globe puzzle list as it technically is geared more towards a younger audience, but we still feel there is something cool about it.

While you have the actual globe here, you also have the inner workings of the Earth too. Not only that, the base is packed with facts about what makes our world so special.

Think of this as not just a puzzle, but also as an educational tool. It is the kind of puzzle that would be fun if you are looking for a puzzle to put together with a child.

Good To Know

  • Size: 9.84 x 9.84 x 7.32 inches
  • Recommended age: 8 years and up
  • While it may not be the most challenging puzzle, this would be a fun puzzle for a parent and a child to complete together

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

Ok, now this is truly awesome. Not only do we have a tremendous puzzle that showcases this amazing world of ours. However, this one also has some great little details that you may miss at first.

What we love about this is that the base actually has the eight wonders of the world on it which is such a unique and cool touch. It also has a little locked drawer that you can use to hide a special little something in it as if this globe was a special artifact from an Indiana Jones movie!

Wooden 3D puzzles are not just fun, they are also very complex so they pose a great challenge when it comes to putting them together.

Good To Know

  • Size: 12.8 x 11.4 x 20.5 inches
  • Recommended age: 14 years and up
  • Made from high quality-components as always by ROKR
  • Contains a full instruction manual to ensure every piece lands in the correct place
  • The actual globe looks awesome, but it is all the extra little details that will make this such a great piece to have on display in your home.

FAQs About 3D Globe Puzzles

If you have any questions about the wonderful world we live in… that is way above our paygrade, but we do have for you a few ways to make sure you are on the right track with your 3D globe puzzle purchase!

How many pieces is too many pieces?

As you can see from the different 3D globe puzzles, we have looked at today, the number of pieces is all over the place. To be honest, just because a puzzle has fewer pieces does not mean it will be super easy.

Puzzles like this are more like putting together a model kit than a traditional jigsaw puzzle so do not get hung up on the number of puzzles. Now, if we were talking about a 3D puzzle that had 3000 pieces then we may have something to talk about!

What is the best way to display a completed globe puzzle?

When you put together something as challenging as these ones on our list, displaying your completed puzzle is your ultimate goal, and it should be!

Anyway, displaying a 3D globe puzzle is always nice and easy as you just need to find a nice spot for it on a shelf or somewhere else. For the most part, these puzzles are designed so that the pieces click into place securely.

However, you may want to consider using some kind of glue to keep it more secure. Be sure to get glue that is right for the puzzle you have if you have a wooden 3D puzzle, you will need a different kind of glue than if the puzzle is made of plastic for example.

One Last Trip Around The World!

We are pretty pleased with all of the suggestions we have made for you in regard to the best 3D globe puzzle today. These look so awesome and are the kind of thing that will look amazing when it is done and displayed.

This type of puzzle is also a fun challenge and great if you love jigsaw puzzles but are looking for something that is a bit different than what you are used to. These 3D globe puzzles are awesome in that they not only give your mood and mental health a boost, but your fine motor skills are also getting a good workout as well.
