FAQs About Crocodile Creek Puzzles
We want to try and make sure that you are as well informed as possible when it comes to Crocodile Creek puzzles so that is why we have this handy FAQ section for you.
Who are these puzzles for?
It would be so easy to look at the range of puzzles from Crocodile Creek and just say that these are for children. While they do make many puzzles for kids, they actually make puzzles that the whole family can enjoy.
As we always say here at Geek’s Oasis, do not get hung up on the “recommended age” on the box of a puzzle, if you think it looks cool and fun, it is cool and fun!
Where can I find Crocodile Creek Puzzles?
When it comes to variety, you can find the most comprehensive selection on online stores like Amazon. There you can search for Crocodile Creek Puzzles, and filter for example based on piece count which is pretty cool. Be sure to double-check the piece count before you order anything.
Also, since this is a well-known brand, you may find these in your local toy store too, or even in a bookstore.
What size of puzzle should I go for?
We have looked at puzzles of all different sizes and styles here and we always feel that going for the size you are comfortable with is the way to go. If you consider yourself a puzzle master, 500 pieces is the minimum you will probably want to go for.
However, for those who have not done a jigsaw puzzle since they got that Wuzzles jigsaw puzzle for Christmas back in 1986, you may want to dip your toe in a little and go for a smaller, perhaps 300-piece puzzle. Or, if you just want to push yourself then go for that 1000-piece puzzle and you will know for sure if jigsaw puzzles are a hobby for you!
Are puzzles good for your brain?
There is some evidence that puzzles are good for your brain, but the research is still ongoing. Some scientists believe that puzzles help keep the brain active and healthy by stimulating new connections between brain cells. Others believe that puzzles can help protect against age-related declines in brain function.
So far, the evidence seems to suggest that different people benefit from different types of puzzles. For example, crossword puzzles may be better for vocabulary and mental flexibility, while Sudoku may be better for problem-solving skills.
It's important to find puzzles that challenge you and make you think outside the box. The more difficult the puzzle, the more likely it is to be good for your brain!
If you're open to looking into some other types of puzzles to get a true brain workout, we have posted about wooden brain teaser puzzles, metal puzzles, and 3D puzzles too.
We recommend checking out the 3D puzzles as it contains the coolest space ship ever, the Millenium Falcon, and some other cool toys and models too!

Happy puzzling!
