Before we start our quest to find the best Iron Man action figure, we have to talk a little about the character first. There is no way that even the most die-hard Iron Man fan can say that when Iron Man was released in 2008 and the MCU started that they knew he would become one of the biggest comic book characters in the world.
Back then he was good old Shellhead and while many people (including some in the Geek’s Oasis office) thought he was cool, he was way behind characters like Spider-Man, The Hulk, and Wolverine.
Well, that was then and this is now and there are tons and we mean tons of Iron Man action figures. We have looked at the best Deadpool figures and other comic book figures before, but today Tony Stark is taking center stage and we all know he loves to be the center of attention!
Calling In A Favor At Avengers Tower!
As much as we love Iron Man here at Geek’s Oasis, we will admit putting together this list looking for the best Iron Man action figure caused some heated debate in the Geek’s Oasis office as there are so many of them and we all have our favorites.
At first, we thought about trying to make an advanced AI that would tell us the best Iron Man action figures, but our scientific calculator and busted Nintendo 64 that we had in the breakroom did not make for much of a next-generation AI!
Anyway, we decided to pick figures that we have in our own collection - this way you know for sure that we have and love these figures!
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
The first Iron Man action figure we are looking at is part of the awesome Infinity Saga that took classic costumes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This particular one is the Iron Man Mark III suit from the first Iron Man movie.
What we love about this one is that as well as a standard Iron Man head, you get another head that has the face plate up so you can see the Robert Downey Jr head sculpt and it is actually one of the better ones Hasbro has done!

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
We did a guide on the best Green Goblin action figures not too long ago and talked a little about Marvel Funko Pops on there, well here is another one! Iron Man actually has a ton of Funko Pop figures, but we feel this one is extra special.
It captures the most heroic moment of his in the entire MCU, the snap that saved it all! It is such a cool-looking figure and as a nice little twist, this glows in the dark too which makes it even more awesome!
This is one of those Pops that looks just as great inside of the box (it is a special edition after all) as it does when you take it out.

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
"The What if?" series on Disney Plus was a lot of fun and one of the best episodes was the one about zombies! We love this Zombie Iron Man figure as it is so unlike any of his other Marvel Legends figures.
If it is a truly unique and weird Iron Man action figure you are after, this one is really hard to beat. It is the zombie Iron Man head sculpt that makes this such a cool figure. He even comes with a blaster accessory for his hand so he can cook people before he eats them!

Why we At Geek’s Oasis Love It
We are a nostalgic bunch here at Geek’s Oasis and we love the way that Hasbro has embraced the past with some of their figures. This Marvel Legends 20th Anniversary Iron Man is based on the original Marvel Legends action figures that were made by ToyBiz (Marvel Toys) in the early 00s.
You could make the argument if it were not for that toy line, we would not have the Marvel Legends that we do now. This is a great throwback to that figure, but with modern sculpting and painting. The real star here is that epic retro packaging which makes this perfect for mint-on-card collectors!

What an epic two-pack this is! Based on the scene from Infinity War where Iron Man and Spidey team up with The Guardians and Dr. Strange to take on Thanos, this is one of the most awesome two-packs in the entire Marvel Legends line.
You get Iron Man Mark 50 armor that comes with the extra firepower and even the little briefcase it was stored in. It also comes with an amazing premium design Iron Spider figure that comes with an extra Tom Holland head. If you want a Marvel Legends two-pack that has some serious wow factor, this is it!

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Look we know we just did a two-pack, but when it comes to the best Iron Man action figures what can we tell you, he has had a lot of epic two-packs! This one is cool as it comes with the Iron Man Mark XXI armor so it is a bit more of an obscure armor to have in action figure form.
However, if we are being 100 percent honest with you, we love this set for the awesome John Favreau Happy Hogan figure! He is such a huge part of the Iron Man MCU story that it is awesome Hasbro was able to get a figure of him made and have it look so great too.

That is right, our final entry on our best Iron Man action figure is Tony Stank… sorry Tony Stark himself with another amazing two-pack. This is part of the ten-year celebration of Marvel Studios and it is based on the first Iron Man movie.
You get a really cool Robert Downey Jr style suited figure, but the real star of this set is the classic original Iron Man suit that he uses to bust out of that cave!
