We knew that we had to look at the best Marvel Legends X-Men figures as soon as we finished putting together our Wolverine action figure guide! We have some massive X-Men fans here in the Geek’s Oasis office so huge that a few even hung around the local power plant hoping to get some kind of mutant powers!
All that happened was that they got a restraining order from the plant and were about 45 minutes late for work! Anyway, the X-Men have been very well represented in the Marvel Legends line and today we are looking at some of the best X-Men action figures with good prices that you can add to your collection.
Using Cerebro To Make Our List
Ok, so we did not actually use Cerebro to make our Marvel Legends X-Men list, apparently according to Charles Xavier, that would be very “irresponsible”. That meant we had to make our list the old-fashioned way!
No, not with stone and slate, but with the power of the internet! We decided to look at some of the most popular X-Men heroes and villains, but truth be told there are so many amazing action figures of the X-Men in the Marvel Legends line, this was really hard to narrow down.

As we said in our Spidey action figure guide, we love retro packaging and the retro packaging used on these X-Men figures is awesome! Here we have Wolverine rocking a yellow and blue outfit (more on that later) and he comes with an unmasked head and an extra set of hands that have his claws withdrawn.
It is such a bright and colorful Marvel Legends X-Men figure that it is sure to grab your attention each time you look at your collection!

Why We At Greek’s Oasis Love It
Next up we have this badass three-pack of Storm, Forge, and Jubilee. These are three fantastic characters and we love how they are wearing bright yellow and blue costumes, the same colors as the Wolverine we just looked at!
Each figure comes with its own accessories and this is a fun way to get three major X-Men characters. This is especially great if you are a fan of the comic books as these figures are based on their look from Uncanny X-Men issue 275.

Why We At Greek’s Oasis Love It
One of the coolest series of Marvel Legends X-Men action figures are the ones that are based on the iconic X-Men The Animated Series from the early 90s. Here we have an incredible Mystique figure that looks like she jumped straight out of your CRT TV!
We love the clever use of color here as it makes her look much more animated! She comes with some fun accessories including a baby Nightcrawler which is such a nice touch!

Why We At Greek’s Oasis Love It
Here we have another great X-Men action figure that is paying homage to the classic X-Men action figures from Toybiz that were huge in the 90s. Out of all the Beast action figures, we think this is the best one.
He comes with two heads, one deep in thought and the other growling, ready for a fight. He has extra hands, some scientific gear, and even a soft good lab coat that can be taken off if you want a more classic-looking Beast figure in your Marvel Legends X-Men collection.

Why We At Greek’s Oasis Love It
Ok, as of writing, this figure is only a pre-order, but we had to have the leader and the goody two shoes of the X-Men, Cyclops on this list and this is truly an amazing figure.
Hasbro has done an amazing job of making this one comic book accurate as the costume is based on his Astonishing X-Men look. We really love how one of the sets of hands that he comes with allows him to be posed as if he is using his optic blast!

Why We At Greek’s Oasis Love It
Kind of crazy that it took this long for us to feature any Marvel Legends X-Men that are based on their movie look! This is such a cool two-pack and features two of the most iconic characters from the world of the X-Men, Magento and Charles Xavier.
This is one of the best sets in the entire Marvel Legend line when it comes to head sculpts. Magneto comes with four heads! Two are based on Michael Fassbender and two are based on Sir Ian McKellen. Charles comes with two, one based on Sir Patrick Stewart and the other on James McAvoy.

- As great as this set is, Hasbro knew what they were doing as it is tempting to buy two so you can have each incarnation of the character on display!
Why We At Greek’s Oasis Love It
We are going back to that awesome VHS-inspired packaging that showcases the characters from the popular, X-Men The Animated Series. One of the best villains in that show was Mr. Sinister and Hasbro has done a great job in capturing him in all his animated glory right here.
The whole point of this line is that the figures have a kind of “animated” effect to them and Mr. Sinister is one of the best in this regard as he does not look too over the top, but at the same time, you can tell he is supposed to look like a cartoon!

Why We At Greek’s Oasis Love It
As we said when we looked at the best Green Goblin action figures, we love villains just as much as heroes here at Geek’s Oasis. The big bad of the X-Men is Apocalypse and this is one of the most epic Marvel Legends X-Men action figures on our entire list today.
We love just how large and solid this figure is. It is the kind of figure that looks so impressive and bulky, you want to pick it up each time you see it. Although, we would advise against that as the first-ever mutant is known to have a rather short fuse. Not many figures can outshine Apocalypse when it comes to the wow factor!

Why We At Greek’s Oasis Love It
Here we have the smooth-talking, handsome, and very cool ladies' man, Remy LeBeau or Gambit if you prefer! This is such a cool figure and one of the more underrated X-Men figures Hasbro has made. It not only captures the suave look of Gambit but his personality as well!
He also has some amazing accessories. You can pose him with his staff or you can put in his other hands that make it look like he is throwing his playing cards! We love this figure and think that it is a must-have if you are looking to build an X-Men action figure collection!

Why We At Greek’s Oasis Love It
Last, but by no means least on our Marvel Legends X-Men action figure guide is a very interesting figure.
Here we have a fantastic-looking Sentinel action figure, but what is interesting is that while this figure stands at 8 inches tall, this figure is not designed to fit in with the 6-inch Marvel Legends line (although it would still look good). This is designed to go with the awesome 3 ¾ inch Retro Marvel Legends action figures.
We have looked at a few of these, most recently in our Black Panther action figure guide. This 8-inch Sentinel looks so imposing when standing next to a 3 ¾ inch Cyclops or Wolverine action figure! Plus, that retro-style packaging at this larger scale is so much fun!

Plastic-Free Packaging?
As of writing this article, Hasbro has announced that they plan to get rid of their plastic-free packaging which we are delighted about. Not that we're huge fans of plastic, it's just that you can't see the figure inside.
The X-Men have some of the coolest plastic-free packaging around as there is a series of figures where the packaging is based on the VHS boxes of the X-Men The Animated Series which is awesome!
How To Build An X-Men Collection
As we said, The X-Men have been very well represented in the Marvel Legends line, and while this is awesome, it also means it can be tricky to build a collection. Some folks may just put all their figures together and more power to them.
Yet, you can also build a more specific Marvel Legends X-Men collection. You can have one based only on the movies, the animated series, or the comic books. Heck, some characters such as Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto, Jean Grey, and a few more have so many figures, you could have a whole collection of just them!
