As huge gamers here at Geek’s Oasis, we love the range of Sonic Funko Pop figures that have been released over the last few years. Today we are celebrating one of gaming's biggest icons by looking at some of the best Sonic products from the good folks at Funko. Sonic the Hedgehog is one of video game's ultimate icons and for good reason too!
He has been in so many great games over the years, plus he has a great supporting cast too! You could argue that his recently released live-action movies along with the open-world game, Sonic Frontiers have made Sonic more relevant now than he has been for a very long time!
Did We Use Chaos Emeralds To Make This List
Thankfully we did not have to call in Shadow to use his Chaos Control to help us make this list looking for the best Sonic Funko Pop figures! We are huge fans so we decided to go for the figures that we liked most.
Sonic has been represented pretty well by Funko so we had some great figures to choose from. We even decided to get really into the spirit of this thing and eat a bunch of chili dogs and then run around the Geek’s Oasis office really fast… In hindsight, we should have eaten the chili dogs AFTER we ran around, but hey you live and learn!
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
We are starting our quest for the best Sonic Funko Pops with a very cool looking modern Sonic the Hedgehog. When we looked at the best One Piece Funko Pops, we talked about capturing a character and that is exactly what Funko has done here with this Sonic Funko Pop.
It is that wagging finger that does it for us, it is just classic Sonic attitude and it is a ton of fun. Funko has released a few different Sonic Pops and each one has a “gimmick”.
This one here is holding one of his rings behind his back, it makes for a neat figure as you do not notice the ring at first glance.

- If you want a Pop that showcases the attitude and cockiness that Sonic has, this one is perfect.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
We just looked at a Sonic Funk Pop that captured his modern design, but here we have a classic-looking Sonic that is designed to represent his look on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis in the early 90s.
One of the things that we think is neat about this figure is that he is running and they have given him these cool special effects on his legs to represent motion.
It is a neat effect and one that certainly makes this a very eye-catching kind of Funko Pop figurine. We feel that this one is ideal if you love the older Sonic the Hedgehog video games.

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
The next entry on our Sonic Funko Pops list is another more modern looking Sonic. This one once again has that iconic Sonic the Hedgehog attitude. It is just a small thing, but the way he has his hand on his hip captures his sassy side perfectly.
We have someone here in the Geek’s Oasis office that has this level of sass! While the actual figure is really cool, the other thing that sets this figure apart from the rest is that he is holding one of the Chaos Emeralds, he only needs six more and he can turn into Super Sonic!
We just love this figure, the way he is holding the Chaos Emerald is almost like he is conveying a message to Dr. Eggman that he has it!

- The Chaos Emeralds are a huge part of the Sonic games so it is awesome that he is holding one here.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
While this is a Sonic Funko Pop list, we had to have some of his foes and friends and here we have Shadow the Hedgehog who has been both an ally and adversary to Sonic over the years.
Just like they have done with Sonic, Funk has captured Shadow perfectly, we love an anti hero here at Geek’s Oasis (check out our Black Adam guide) and Shadow is a real anti hero and he just looks so badass and ready for a fight with the pose that they have given him here.
One of the things we really love about this figure is the fantastic detailing on Shadow’s shoes as they look very close to how they look in the game.

- If you want to spend some serious money, there is a very rare Super Shadow Funko Pop figure that goes for over a thousand bucks!
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
For you Funko collectors out there we have a very cool “special edition” Funko Pop for you here. When Knuckles joined the Sonic the Hedgehog universe back in 1994’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3, he became an instant fan favorite.
We love the way that he has his fist out front like he is ready to punch Sonic for having a smart mouth! What makes this a special edition is that this is a flocked Funko Pop.
The fact that this is red gives this such a cool look to it and makes it look like a very premium kind of Funko Pop! If you are building a Sonic Funko Pop collection, Knuckles is a character that has to be in it!

- There is also a different Knuckles Funko Pop out there that is not flocked, but despite this being a “special edition” this version is easier to track down and cheaper too!
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Now this is a cool Funko Pop. While he may not have the same kind of star power as Shadow or Knuckles that we have already looked at, Silver the Hedgehog is a very cool character and we love the pose that Funko has gone for here. He is ready for a fight and just about to use his telekinesis ability.
With this figure being white (well silver) it really will stand out if you have a collection of Sonic Funko Pops. Also, this was released as part of the Sonic the Hedgehog 30th anniversary celebration so it has that logo on the side of the box which could make this more collectible in the future.

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
The last of the Sonic the Hedgehog Funko Pops we are looking at is not actually a Funko Pop, but a Soda figure from Funko. We love this line as the fact that the figures are packaged in what looks like a soda can is a lot of fun.
This comes with a Sonic that has a very cocky look on his face, he has probably just delivered one of his classic wisecracks to Eggman! You do have a chance of getting a chase figure with this one which is neat. These are a lot of fun and they look great when you display the figure on top of or in front of the can.

What about the Funko Pop Game Cover?
We have talked about the awesome Funko Pop Cover figures before, such as in our Batman Funko Pop guide. However, Funk also does some awesome Funko Pop Game Covers, and Sonic the Hedgehog actually has an awesome one based on Sonic the Hedgehog 2!
As of writing his Sonic Funko Pop guide, it was out of stock so we did not want to include it on our list. However, it is so awesome, we felt like we had to mention it and if you ask us, you need to keep this one on your radar and when it is available again, you” gotta go fast” and snap it up!
Side Note: There have been multiple Sonic the Hedgehog animated series over the years. However, many fans feel that the Sonic X series that ran from 2003 to 2005 is the best and the song “gotta go fast” that played during the intro is awesome.
Will there be more Sonic Funko Pops?
We are not gamblers here at Geek’s Oasis, but we would wager that there will be many, many more Sonic Funko Pops over the coming years. They have already made multiple versions of Sonic and even a few of his friends too.
They have done a great job and we are loving how they have made some more obscure characters such as Super Silver and Sonic the Werehog.
