With a rogue’s gallery as deep as it is, finding the best Spider-Man villain action figures is going to be a whole lot of fun! We know a thing or two about villains here at Geek’s Oasis. Not just because we have looked at stuff like the best Carnage action figures before, but because we have some real villains in the Geek’s Oasis office!
We are talking stuff like leaving the milk out in the breakroom, not emptying their trashcan, using someone else’s coffee mug, robbing a bank, and hijacking a public bus...
Ok, we exaggerated some of those, no one here is bad enough to leave the milk out! Anyway, we are looking at some truly dastardly action figures today so be sure to watch your wallet!
Making Our Own Sinister Six
There are so many Spider-Man villain action figures, it was tough to narrow this list down, to be honest with you. The way that we made this list was that we went for some major heavy hitters when it comes to iconic Spider-Man villains.
We also have a good mixture of comic book, animated, movie, and video game incarnations so there is something for everyone.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Yes, we included a few figures from this line in our Spider-Man 6-inch action figure guide and we have a whole load more of them here, starting with Mysterio! This is one of the more impressive figures in this entire series which when you consider how much we love the whole series is saying something.
The green of Mysterio really pops on that retro carding and we love how his “special effects” are positioned in the packaging, but you can have a lot of fun with them displaying them if you decide to crack this open!
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Marvel Legends Retro Spider-Man
- As well as this animated version of Mysterio, Hasbro also makes a cool MCU-style Mysterio
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
We love the Gamerverse line from Hasbro and this Spider-Man & Mister Negative set is based on the epic PlayStation video game. These are actually the only 3 ¾ inch figures on this list, but even with their small stature, Mister Negative is one of the more interesting looking Spider-Man villain action figures.
As well as Mister Negative, you get a very cool Spider-Man action figure, complete with his suit from the game. Check out our Street Fighter action figure guide if you want to see more Gamerverse figures in this scale!
Good To Know
- Scale: ¾ inch
- Series: Marvel Gamerverse
- These figures would go great with the Marvel Legends Retro 3 ¾ inch collection!
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
That is right we have another figure from the Marvel Legends Retro Spider-Man series already! Look, we loved what they did with Electro in the live-action movies, but this classic-looking Electro is just a ton of fun.
His iconic green and yellow suit pops thanks to the awesome paint job that Hasbro has done. And he comes with an extra set of hands that make him look like he is shooting electricity which makes this a very fun figure to pose.
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Marvel Legends Retro Spider-Man
- The carding on these figures is made of really thick carding, making them great to hang on your wall.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Here we have the first MCU-style figure on our Spider-Man villain action figures list! Casting Michael Keaton as The Vulture was a great move by Marvel/Sony.
This is one of the more impressive looking MCU Marvel Legends figures and it is much bigger thanks to those massive wings which when fully extended are nearly two feet wide!
This figure is insane and it even comes with a display stand so it looks like he is flying. This is the kind of figure that is so amazing, you display your collection around it!
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Marvel Legends: Spider-Man Homecoming
- While those massive articulated wings are truly awesome, you can display the figure without them if you do not have the space.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
You know, we think that this Scorpion figure from the Spider-Man The Animated Series Retro line may be one of the best Spider-Man villain action figures of all time.
While the whole series is great, this one looks like he just jumped straight out of your 1994 VHS and into your collection!
The green is nice and vibrant, the facial sculpt is perfect, and while we usually like to keep these figures on card. The fact that his tail is fully posable means you can have a ton of fun displaying this!
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Marvel Legends Retro Spider-Man
- The way that you can move around and play with his tail lets you get very creative when it comes to putting this in your collection.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
You cannot have a list of Spider-Man villain action figures without Venom on it, even if he is classed more as an anti-hero these days, he is still one of Spidey’s most iconic and popular foes. We went for this particular Venom figure as it is based on his design from the first Venom movie.
He comes with two head sculpts, one with that crazy long tongue of his and one with his rather unsettling grin! We love how Hasbro manage to capture the “slippery” look that he had in the movie with their paint application here.
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Marvel Legends Venom
- Venom has been very well represented in the Marvel Legends line so if you prefer a more comic-accurate or animated-looking Venom, they have you covered!
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Who better to follow Venom than his spawn, Carnage? This is a very cool Carnage figure and we love the bright red and jet black paint that they have used, it makes this a very eye-catching figure in your collection.
This is a comic book-style Carnage, but we also feel that it would pass for a video game-style Carnage as well. The way he has those red tentacles hanging all over him is very cool and just adds to this psycho’s menacing appearance.
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Marvel Legends Green Goblin Wave
- This whole series is based around Spider-Man and if you collect them all you can build an epic Green Goblin monster-style action figure!
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Next up we have one of the more interesting Spider-Man villain action figures, Shocker from the Marvel Legends Retro series. Shocker in the Spider-Man The Animated Series was really a lower level villain, but he did feature in a few episodes so he is an essential part of the collection.
With many of the villains in this series being green, Shocker really stands out and he comes with these really cool shocker effects that you can put onto his hands if you decide to be brave and break him off that epic carding!
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Marvel Legends Retro Spider-Man
- We would not just say that this figure is cool, we would say that it is “shockingly” cool… yeah we do bad buns, we told you we had villains in the Geek’s Oasis office!
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Here we have a very cool two-pack and while this is a list of the best Spider-Man villain action figures, this set does feature Silk who is such a badass character and one of the more awesome characters to appear in the Spider-Verse over the last decade.
However, as cool as that Silk figure is. It is old Doc Ock that has made us select this! The shade of green and that facial sculpt they have gone for here give him more of a “classic” kind of design which we think is very cool. You can also get pretty creative displaying this figure thanks to his possible tentacles.
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Marvel Legends Spider-Man
- This set was released as part of the Spider-Man 60 Amazing Years Celebration which makes it even more collectible!
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Last, but by no means least on our Spider-Man Legends action figures list is Hydro-Man! It is so cool that Hasbro made this figure!
While he is not in that retro Spider-Man The Animated Series packaging, we feel that you could get away with displaying this with those figures as he does resemble the way he looked in that series.
The water effects on his arms and feet are very well done and would really pop if you had some lights behind this figure.
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Marvel Legends Molten Man Wave
- This whole set was themed around Spider-Man: Far From Home and if you buy all the figures you can build a very badass-looking Molten Man figure.
FAQs About Spider-Man Villain Action Figures
Having trouble with a villain? Do not worry, we may not have a radioactive spider to give you superpowers, but we can put you on the right track to get the best figure for your collection!
Are there non-Marvel Legends figures?
We know that we have focused on Marvel Legends, but that is usually the focus of our figures guides such as our Thor action figure guide. This is the main line for adult collectors which is why we used this as the basis for this article.
However, Hasbro does make many other Spider-Man villain action figures in a more “toy” form such as their 12-inch Titan Hero scale or their figures based on the various animated series that are currently on air.
What about ¾ Scale Figures?
We have talked about the Marvel Legends Retro ¾ line before such as in our Daredevil action figure guide where we looked at Bullseye. Anyway, Spider-Man is very well represented in that line with ¾ retro figures of characters like Green Goblin who is in Spider-Man themed packaging.
Why are Spider-Man action figures so popular?
That's because they allow kids to bring the world of Spider-Man to life in their own homes. These highly-detailed action figures feature some of Spider-Man's most notorious foes, such as Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, and Venom.
Kids love playing with these figures and imagine epic battles where they can pretend to be Spider-Man saving the world from evil. Additionally, many of these toys come with accessories and some are sold separately, which makes it easy to build a toy collection that includes all their favorite heroes and villains.
The affordable price of these figures means that kids can easily build up their own personal superhero world, filled with all their favorites such as Captain America, and Iron Man among others.
