We have been as giddy as a schoolgirl at a Backstreet Boys (or whoever the kids like these days) concert all week about putting together this Star Wars Black Series 6-inch action figure guide!
We have looked at this line many times before such as in our Black Series Luke Skywalker action figure list. However, today we are not looking at any particular character and just having a stroll through a galaxy that is located far, far away to pick our favorite Black Series figures!
How Many Republic Credits Did We Trade For This List?
Thankfully all of our Republic Credits are hidden under the main desk in the break room… Actually forget we told you that, damn it where is Obi-Wan when you need him to Jedi-mind-trick someone into forgetting something!
Anyway, we made this Star Wars Black Series 6-inch action figure list by looking at the figures in our own collections. That way you know that any action figure we suggest to you today is one that someone in the Geek’s Oasis office has actually paid good money for themselves.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
The fact we did a whole guide based on Darth Vader puzzles lets you know that we love Darth Vader here at Geek’s Oasis. When it comes to Star Wars Black Series 6-inch action figures, Darth Vader has quite a lot.
We went for this one which is based on his look in the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series as it is the most recently released (well as of writing) Black Series Darth Vader that Hasbro has made. Therefore it is the easiest one to track down and currently, it is the most affordable too.
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Obi-Wan Kenobi
- The extra articulation in the arms and shoulders lets you display him holding his lightsaber in some very cool ways.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
As you know from when we did our Star Wars Retro Collection guide, we get such a huge kick out of the classic Kenner retro-style packaging. Well, this series that is released for the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi movie comes on 6-inch scale carding.
While this Wicket is a bit smaller than the other Star Wars Black Series 6-inch action figures, he is in scale with them and one of the most fun figures on this list. We love how he comes with his little Ewok stick weapons too!
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary
- As well as Wicket, Han Solo, The Emperor, A Biker Scout, and more are available in this series.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
While it was awesome how we got to see Cad Bane in live-action form in The Book of Boba Fett. We are putting his look from The Bad Batch on our Star Wars Black Series 6-inch action figure list as he looks so badass.
This particular figure we have for you is an Amazon exclusive and he has a menacing scowl on his face, plus when you put his two guns in his hands he looks like he really is looking for trouble!
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: The Bad Batch
- While this version is based on his look from The Bad Batch, there is also another Cad Bane Black Series figure based on his look from The Clone Wars.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Yes, we have looked at Baby Yoda action figures before, but we could not have a list of the best Star Wars Black Series 6-inch figures and not have this set on here.
Hasbro has really stepped up the multi-figure sets as of late and we feel this is one of the best. Here you get a fantastic-looking Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano, and a super cute Grogu action figure all in the same box! You also get a bunch of neat accessories too which makes this a very fun set to display.
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: The Mandalorian
- There are many different Mandalorian Black Series action figures, but we love this one, plus the Ahsoka and Grogu that come with him are awesome too.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Next up we have another retro-inspired action figure, but this time it is based on the 90s Power of the Force line. This packaging is so 90s that we cannot help, but love it.
Thankfully, you get a modern-looking Han Solo action figure in the packaging here and not a 90s one… although, now that we think about it that would have made a cool chase variant.
Anyway, if you have nostalgia for the Power of the Force series, you will love adding this to your collection. The carding is so great that this makes for a great on-card display piece!
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: The Power of the Force
- Hasbro also made a Luke and a Greedo figure that go along with this Han Solo as well as some green card Power of the Force figures too!
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
We love Boba Fett, actually, we did a whole Boba Fett action figure guide, so it is no surprise that he has made it onto our Star Wars Black Series 6-inch action figure list!
This is based on his look from Return of the Jedi and Hasbro did a great job of getting his armor as screen-accurate as they could at this price range! He comes with two blasters and a flame thrower effect so you can get very creative with how you pose this.
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Return of the Jedi
- If you want a Boba Fett to keep on the card, Hasbro did release a Boba Fett 6-inch figure in their retro-inspired Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary collection
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Say what you will about The Phantom Menace, but Darth Maul was badass and he has become one of the most popular Star Wars characters of all time. We really wanted to include him on this list and we feel that Hasbro nailed it with this version of him.
This is based on his look from The Clone Wars. He still has that awesome dual lightsaber, but what we love about Darth Maul from The Clone Wars are those robotic legs he has, perhaps Obi-Wan did him a favor by cutting him in half?
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: The Clone Wars
- If you prefer his look from The Phantom Menace, Hasbro does also make a Star Wars Black Series 6-inch action figure based on that.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
A couple of people in the Geek’s Oasis office feel that this specific Cal Kestis action figure is one of the most underrated Star Wars Black Series figures Hasbro has done!
Jedi Fallen Order was such an awesome game and Cal was such a great character, we are so happy that he has been well-represented in The Black Series.
What we love about this one is the detailed layered clothing that they have given him. Also, he has a lightsaber, but the best accessory is the little BD-1 droid that he has which was such a fun part of the game!
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: Jedi Fallen Order
- A fun way to display this is by using some sticky tack to attach BD-1 to Cal’s shoulder.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Ok, as of writing, this set is not yet out, but this Luke Skywalker and Grogu two-pack is one of the most wanted Star Wars Black Series 6-inch figure sets that Hasbro has scheduled for this year.
This is based on the scene in the Book of Boba Fett where Luke was training Grogu in the ways of the Jedi.
What we love about this is that it comes with accessories so you can display it like Grogu is jumping away from being blasted by the training droid! This is such a fun set and you are going to smile whenever you see it in your collection.
Good To Know
- Scale: 6 inch
- Series: The Book of Boba Fett
- This is one of the most fun Grogu releases that Hasbro has done so far.
FAQs About Star Wars Black Series 6-Inch Action Figures
If you want to make sure you are not walking on the Dark Side of the Force, be sure to have a quick look at our little FAQ here about Black Series action figures.
On or off card?
We feel that the Star Wars Black Series 6-inch action figures that are on retro carding are best kept on card as the card is part of the charm. However, regular Black Series figures can usually with a little bit of care be opened without destroying the packaging.
At the end of the day, you know if you are a loose or on-card collector. However, you may want to carefully open a package just in case you change your mind. The newer releases are actually in plastic-free packaging so Hasbro makes it very easy for us just to rip those open!
How to make my Black Series figures stand up!
While we are big fans of the Star Wars Black Series 6-inch action figures, some of them can be a royal pain in the butt to get to stand. If you are worried about one figure knocking down a whole shelf of action figures, consider getting some of these FIGURESLAB 56PCS Action Figure Stand Bases 6". They can come in really handy and make displaying your action figures so much easier.
