We have looked at a ton of awesome Star Wars The Black Series action figures and today it is the turn of the Star Wars Black Series droid offerings to take center stage! We looked at the best Boba Fett action figures not too long ago and had a ton of fun doing so.

We feel that if someone were to hire Boba Fett to find them an awesome droid action figure, he would probably check out our list and go for one of the ones that we have suggested.

We've been working hard to find the coolest products for you that will make your life easier and more fun. Each product has been independently selected by our editors. Picking The Right Droid For Your Rebellion!

Star Wars droids tend to either be very useful and help people do stuff like chores, pilot their vehicles, and so on. Or, they are used for war and destruction... Or they are purchased off the Jawa’s in some kind of Tatooine back ally deal and they malfunction after about three minutes!

To make our list of the best Star Wars Black Series droid action figure list, we looked at our own collections and decided that we would pick the ones that we legit think are cool and would look epic in your collection!

Star Wars The Black Series: Archive: C-3PO

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

The first figure on our Star Wars Black Series droid list is that smart-mouthed know-it-all C-3PO! We love what Hasbro has done with the Archive series, bringing back popular figures so fans do not have to spend a fortune on the secondary market.

This is a damn fine C-3PO action figure and in all honesty, he is a tentpole kind of figure for a Star Wars collection and this archive series figure is a great way to add him to your collection. For his own safety, do not stand him too close to Han Solo!

💡
By “tentpole” we mean main characters that you need in a collection, we would put C-3PO up there with the likes of Luke Skywalker (who you can see in our Luke Skywalker Black Series guide) and other characters like Han, Chewie, and Darth Vader!

Good To Know

  • Scale: 6 inch
  • Series: Star Wars The Black Series Archive
  • The packaging and the way he is displayed inside this make this a great figure for you on card collectors too!

Star Wars The Black Series: Droids: Boba Fett

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

Yes, we know that Boba Fett is not a droid, but we felt like this particular Boba Fett figure was very fitting for our Star Wars Black series droid guide as he is based on his appearance in the Star Wars Droids animated series.

The packaging for this figure is awesome, it looks like a VHS box. The Boba Fett figure is done in an animated style and he looks so cool! Actually, we think that posing the figure in front of the box would be an awesome way to have this displayed in your collection.

💡
In 1985, we got an animated series called, Star Wars: Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO which this figure is based on. In 1985 there was also an animated series based on The Ewoks.

Good To Know

  • Scale: 6 inch
  • Series: Star Wars The Black Series: Droids
  • There is also a 3 ¾ inch version of this Boba Fett in the Vintage Collection where there is also a C-3PO and R2-D2.

Star Wars The Black Series: Obi-Wan Kenobi: NED-B

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

We were huge fans of the Disney Plus Obi-Wan Kenobi show and one of the more interesting new characters was the droid, NED-B. We nearly put the NED-B retro figure in our Star Wars Retro Collection guide as we love his design so much!

However, we feel that this version of NED-B is the best one that Hasbro has done. The detailing here is fantastic actually, this is a very underrated figure and one that we feel would look great in your collection.

Good To Know

  • Scale: 6 inch
  • Series: Star Wars The Black Series: Obi-Wan Kenobi
  • As of writing, this is a very affordable figure, we would jump on it while it is as we are not sure how many more figures NED-B will probably get!

Star Wars The Black Series: Empire Strikes Back: Imperial Probe Droid

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

Next up on our Star Wars Black Series droid list, we have a really cool and iconic droid for you and that is the Imperial Probe Droid that was searching for the rebel base on Hoth! This is such a fun figure!

It comes with a stand and a snow base so it looks like it is hovering over the snow. This is awesome if you love to have fun and be creative with the way you display your collection. Also, we have to give Hasbro a lot of credit for how authentic they managed to make this thing look.

Good To Know

  • Scale: 6 inch
  • Series: Star Wars The Black Series: The Empire Strikes Back
  • This was actually released as part of the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back which makes it even cooler if you ask us!

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

Can you look at a Battle Droid from The Phantom Menace and not hear “roger, roger” in your mind? For you guys that are big fans of the prequels, a Black Series Battle Droid is a must in your Star Wars droid collection.

This guy looks very screen-accurate and while we assume most people will end up posing it holding a gun, a neat thing about this battle droid figure is that he can be folded up so that it looks like the way they did before they were unleased into battle!

Good To Know

  • Scale: 6 inch
  • Series: Star Wars The Black Series: The Phantom Menace
  • With this giving you two posing options, we would not judge you at all if you decided you needed two so you could have both configurations on display!

Star Wars The Black Series: Archive: IG-88

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

We are going back to the Archive Series here with this awesome looking IG-88. IG-88 has been very well represented in the Black Series and we love this particular release of him. the way the gold and silver shines on him, gives him a every cool look and makes it a figure that will really stand out in your collection.

He comes with three different weapons too which means that you can pose him in some very fun ways. If you have a real love for The Empire Strikes Back or even Shadows of the Empire, this guy has to be in your collection.

💡
Shadows of the Empire is a book that is also an awesome video game that was released for the Nintendo 64. IG-88 was a boss in that game and he was hard as nails with many people never getting past him!

Good To Know

  • Scale: 6 inch
  • Series: Star Wars The Black Series: Archive Series
  • If you want the perfect partner for IG-88, there is also a very cool IG-11 in The Mandalorian retro wave you can get.

Star Wars The Black Series: Empire Strikes Back: 4-LOM and Zuckuss

Check Price on Amazon

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

As you may know from some of our other action figure guides like our recent Spider-Man action figure guide, we love a two-pack and that is what we have here.

Granted, Zuckuss is not a droid, but the fact that 4-LOM is means that this was fair game for our Star Wars Black Series Droid guide.

This comes in a box and inside that box is a Zuckuss and a 4-LOM action figure, each on their own retro, Kenner-inspired card! This is such a great set and the only way to get these figures in this particular style!

Also, a nice touch here is that when Kenner released these figures back in the day, they put the wrong names on the card and Hasbro has also done that here which we think is a lot of fun.

Good To Know

  • Scale: 6 inch
  • Series: Star Wars The Black Series: The Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary
  • This set is awesome if you are someone that loves your more obscure Star Wars characters

Star Wars Black Series: Obi-Wan Kenobi: Wandering Jedi

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It

Ok, so we know that this being on this list needs some explaining as we all know that Obi-Wan Kenobi is not a droid. However, as of us writing this article, this figure is the only way to get an L0-LA59 (or LOLA if you prefer) droid that is scaled to go with the Star Wars Black Series.

As this droid has become so popular and was a big part of the show, we felt it is something you need in your collection! Plus, you also get an epic and incredibly well-detailed Obi-Wan Kenobi figure here too so that is awesome!

Good To Know

  • Scale: 6 inch
  • Series: Star Wars The Black Series: Obi-Wan Kenobi
  • If you already have an Obi-Wan in your collection, you could buy this, keep LOLA and then sell the Obi-Wan to make some of your money back, action figure economics at its very best!

FAQs About Star Wars Black Series Droid Action Figures!

If you need a little help “finding the droids you are looking for” use this FAQ... We really do wish that we could promise this is the last time we will use that joke here on the site, but we all know that is probably not true!

Why not get a figure and a droid together?

A couple of the figures we have looked at today were not sold as being a “droid” however, they did come with a droid as an accessory. It is worth always looking at the accessories that Star Wars The Black Series action figures as a few do come with smaller droids that Hasbro would never be able to sell on their own. A great example of this is the Obi-Wan Kenobi figure that comes with L0-LA59 (Lola) droid.

Where the heck is R2-D2?

Look, we started our look for the best Star Wars Black Series Droid action figures with C-3PO and you probably expected his buddy R2-D2 to be on here next. Well, there have been some awesome R2-D2 Black Series figures from Hasbro over the years, including an awesome Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary one.

However, as of us writing this, they were all out of stock so we did not want to include a product you could not buy. However, we have no doubt that more R2-D2 Black Series figures will be on the way. We would not recommend paying over the odds for an older figure, wait it out and use your Jedi patience!

What makes these Black Series Droid figures special?

These Black Series Droid figures are truly special for Star Wars fans. These figures allow fans to imagine scenes from the Star Wars universe, and they would certainly not be complete without some droids!

The multiple points of articulation enable dynamic posing and action, making each figure highly expressive. The premium deco and exquisite features capture the intricate details of these droids, ensuring an authentic and immersive experience.

The premium detail and articulation also make them ideal for the biggest battles, where fans can create intense and realistic action sequences. Whether it's the iconic battle droids or other security droids, the Black Series Droid figures deliver a level of quality that enhances any Star Wars collection.

Be, Bop, Be, Bop

If you can talk droid you know what that meant. For those that do not speak fluent droid, we are basically wanting to give you one last little bit of food (well oil in the case of a droid) for thought to send you on your merry way wherever your Land Speeder will take you today.

We feel that droids are an essential part of a Star Wars collection and as you can see from our list today, Hasbro has already made some awesome Star Wars Black Series droid figures that are great with figures like those in our Star Wars 6 Inch Black Series action figure guide.

They are great for putting around your collection and we see them as a kind of “garnish” that can really bring the Star Wars saga to life.

Thanks very much for helping us decide what droid figures are best today.
