Since 1977 people have been using sticks, wrapping paper tubes, and pretty much any toy sword they could get as a Lightsaber!
Thankfully, we do not need to do that these days (although pretty much everyone in the Geek’s Oasis office still does it with wrapping paper tubes!) as Hasbro has made some of the most awesome collectible Lightsabers around.
Today, we are taking a look at some of them as we try to figure out what is the best Star Wars Black Series Lightsaber!
We have already looked at some very cool Star Wars Black Series Helmets and they would go great on display with an accompanying Lightsaber!
Sith Or Jedi? Which Are You?
It is very impressive just how many of these amazing Lightsabers Hasbro has made as part of this collection.
While there were some high-end Lightsaber collectibles out there, many of them were aimed more at kids. These are true collectors’ items and look awesome on display….
And also when you are swinging them around pretending to be your favorite character, not that we recommend that kind of thing of course.
We had a good look at the entire collection and thought that the ones we have for you today needed some special attention.

We had to start this quest for the best Star Wars Black Series Lightsaber with Darth Vader! We love this one and think that it is very cool that it is designed after the one he used in Obi-Wan Kenobi!
The classic red of his Lightsaber well and truly shines through with this thing! Darth Vader is the ultimate badass and if you have his lightsaber on display in your collection you are a badass too.
This comes with a stand and a kyber crystal that you can use when displaying this.

We had to go straight to Luke after looking at what his old man, Darth Vader had to offer. One of the most eye-catching Star Wars The Black Series Lightsabers has to be this one here.
Not only is this Luke Skywalker Force FX Lightsaber, but this is also the green one that he used when he was a Jedi Master in Return of the Jedi!
We just love the design of this and when you think of Luke swinging around a Lightsaber it is always the green lightsaber blade that springs to mind.

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
We feel that green is the color you go for with Luke, as if you want a Star Wars Black Series Lightsaber that is blue, you have to go for Obi-Wan.
This is actually based on his Lightsaber from the Disney Plus Obi-Wan Kenobi series and they have gone above and beyond to make it as screen accurate as possible.
The blue of this Lightsaber is really bright so it looks awesome when you have it all lit up on display.

It is crazy to think just how long the only Lightsaber colors we had were blue, red, and green, thank goodness for Samuel L Jackson!
Rey was such a great hero and the sequel trilogy wrapped up her story really well. One of the coolest things about Rey is that they gave her a very cool yellow Force FX elite Lightsaber!
This thing is awesome and a great way to celebrate your fandom for the sequel Star Wars trilogy!

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
What we have here is something really special. To start with, Ahsoka Tano is awesome and her Lightsaber has such a unique-looking handle that it makes it really stand out.
However, this Lightsaber has a special feature combining advanced LEDs and that is: you can change its color. You can have this be blue, green or a more yellow-green!
That is really awesome and means that you can have fun displaying this and swinging it around. Ahsoka Tano was one of the best things about The Clone Wars and now you can have her realistic Force FX Lightsaber in your collection!

As you know from our Boba Fett action figures guide, we love the bad guys of the Star Wars universe (although, Boba Fett is technically not bad anymore) and we wanted a bit more “Dark Side” on our best Star Wars Black Series Lightsaber list.
The first time we saw the three-bladed Lightsaber of Kylo Ren in the trailer for the Force Awakens, we all lost our minds.

How many of us saw the debut of The Dark Saber in The Mandalorian and say “I want one of those”? No matter if it was Mando himself or Moff Gidion wielding this thing, it looked epic.
The design of this is so unlike any other Lightsaber and we love the way that they have designed it. This clearly cannot light up “black” instead, it has a white LED light that runs along the side of it to illuminate it, and it makes for a very cool effect.
If you want a Lightsaber in your collection that is unique, this is the one to get! This is the kind of piece that in a collection grabs everyone’s attention.

- We loved the whole saga of the Darksaber in The Mandalorian, just remember if a friend wants to check it out, they have to challenge you to combat first as “that is the way”.

We are ending our search for the best Star Wars Black Series Lightsaber by looking at one of the most dangerous forces in the galaxy, Emperor Palpatine!
This thing has such a cool look to it, the handle alone even without the Lightsaber being on and showing its red blade, lets you know this is the weapon of a Sith lord!
One neat feature about this is that as well as the standard Lightsaber effects these all make; this makes lightning sound effects too which is really fun!

How should I display my Lightsaber?
One of the coolest things about the Star Wars Black Series Lightsabers collection is that you have many ways to display them. You can use the stand to put them on, you can have the blade on or off, and you can display the kyber crystal next to it we have even seen some people hang them on the wall which looks really cool.
You can buy 3rd party stands or wall hangers if you wish to go that route, but to be fair, the stands that these come with do look pretty cool.
Where is Darth Maul’s Lightsaber?
Look, we are right there with you on this one! Darth Maul’s double-bladed Lightsaber is one of the coolest-looking things in all of Star Wars yet we did not include it on our list!
Well, we have a good reason. First of all, that particular Lightsaber is hard to come by these days, Hasbro Star Wars are probably going to re-release it sooner than later.
However, they only gave you one! This meant that you had to buy two if you wanted to connect them so they look like Darth Maul’s iconic Lightsaber!
Side note: While The Phantom Menace was not perfect, Darth Maul was awesome and it was great to see him back in the Clone Wars! It is such a shame Solo failed to meet Disney’s expectations as we would love to have seen Darth Maul back on the big screen.

As you know from the Star Wars puzzles articles and other Star Wars guides that we have done, we love this stuff!
However, we have to be honest and say that we would have a hard time saying what the best Star Wars Black Series Lightsaber is as they are all fantastic in their own way.
