As of writing, Thor is the only character to have four solo movies to his name, if that is not a good enough reason to try to find the best Thor action figure we do not know what is.
He is one of the main characters in the Marvel cinematic universe, but before that, he was one of the most iconic and popular characters in all of Marvel comics and the way that the character has evolved over the years has been nothing short of epic!
We recently looked at the best Tekken action figures and a few other popular characters and now it is the turn of Thor Odinson to show us what he has to offer in plastic form!
Smashing Figs With Mjolnir!
The way we put this Thor action figure list together was filled with danger! A certain member of the Geek’s Oasis team thought it would be fun to take their replica Mjolnir to the local toy store, throw it at the Marvel Legends section and see which figures stand up to the assault.
A rather hefty bill and a chat with a grouchy security guard later and we were no further ahead. In the end, we decided that the best way to find the most awesome Thor action figures was to look at our own collections - that way you know for sure these are figures we actually love!

We are starting our Thor action figure quest with a really cool three-pack that is based on Avengers Infinity War. The Thor in this set is incredible, he has his eye patch and a badass sword!
Also included in this set is a Rocket Racoon complete with a gun and a teenage Groot that is actually exclusive to this set. It is such a fun trio of characters and great if you loved the scene where they went to make Storm Breaker!

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Based on the super fun movie, Thor Love and Thunder this is a really badass-looking Thor action figure. He is decked out in all his armor and he is very Odin-looking actually.
There is also a very cool Storm Breaking replica that makes for some fantastic posing opportunities. The painting on this figure is great (we are sure Bob Ross would approve!), arguably one of the best in the Marvel Legends line. If you want a Thor that is truly going to rule over the shelf you cannot go wrong with this.

We have looked at these retro Marvel Legends figures before, such as in our Wolverine action figure guide and we love them. The retro throwback to the days of the 80s is such a cool thing.
With this one, you get that retro carding, complete with the Kenner logo which is epic. The Thor they have gone for is the old-school Thor looking like he is straight off the pages of a classic Marvel comic book and that is something we got a huge kick out of.

As you know from our Green Goblin action figure guide, we love the work that Diamond Select does. While we love their dioramas and statues, we must admit, their action figure style Thor action figure is one of the most awesome figures that they have done.
One of the things that we love about this is that it comes not just with a Mjolnir accessory, it comes with one that has a spinning effect that makes this such an awesome display piece. Plus, he comes with a head with his helmet and a head without it, giving you more display options.

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Who did not have a huge smile on their face when Fat Thor popped up in Avengers Infinity War? While at first it was funny, when you think about it his redemption ark and coming to terms with the loss of his home, his brother, and defeat at the hands of Thanos, is one of the best and most emotional storylines of the Infinity War saga.
With this one, you get a chubby Thor action figure and his eyes are white like he has just used his thunder powers. Another neat touch with this figure is that the Storm Breaker and Mjolnir accessories have a lightning effect to them which makes them awesome on display.

- When it comes to Fat Thor, Bro Thor, or whatever you want to call him, this is the best representation of that style of Thor.
Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Now, this is an epic Thor action figure. Actually, this is not “Thor”, it is Ragnarok, the evil robotic doppelganger of Thor! This is such a cool and somewhat of a deep cut for the Marvel Legends line.
It comes with a head that has half the face ripped, showing the robot underneath. However, it also comes with a “normal” head, meaning you could get away with displaying this as Thor.
It also comes with two different versions of Mjolnir, one to hold as normal and the other that has a swinging effect which we think is very cool.

Next up we have this epic Mighty Thor action figure based on Jane Foster from Thor: Love & Thunder. It is so awesome that Marvel brought this story to the big screen and it was a fun live-action adaptation.
Natalie Portman looked so awesome as Thor and this figure comes with a head with a helmet and a head without it. The face sculpt is not bad at all, you can clearly tell who this is supposed to be. She also comes with Mjolnir and her outfit is very well-detailed, including a very stylish flowing cape!

Why We At Geek’s Oasis Love It
Recently we looked at what we felt were the best Carnage action figures and we featured S.H.Figuarts on there and they are back with this epic Thor action figure.
While these are expensive action figures, they are just so classy and so well made it is impossible not to be blown away by this line. What we love about this Thor figure is that it is based on his look from the first Avengers movie.
The suit is awesome, the long flowing hair, that red cape, and multiple points of articulation make this something that not only looks great but is a lot of fun to pose as well.

As Thor is such an iconic character from both comic books and movies, it can be a hard place to know where to start when it comes to picking the best Thor action figure for your collection, but do not worry, that is what this FAQ is for.
How do I know if I am worthy of a Thor action figure?
Just like Mjolnir, the only way to know for sure if you are worthy of the power of Thor is to try and pick one up. Sure it can be extremely nerve-wracking, but we have complete faith that you are worthy of adding a Thor figure to your collection.
In all seriousness, if you are into comic books or just the MCU, we feel that Thor is a tentpole character and one that needs to be in a collection.
SIDE NOTE: What we mean by a tentpole character is that he is a key and main character that no collection is complete without. We would even say that Thor is such a huge character that no matter if you have a comic book action figure collection or a Marvel Universe one, whatever Thor figure you have needs to be in that front row!
So many Marvel Legends, which one to choose?
When it comes to representations in the Marvel Legends line some characters are showcased far more than others, we touched upon this in our Deadpool action figure guide as he has a ton of figures too.
Basically, Hasbro is going to keep pumping out Thor figures in the Marvel Legends series for as long as they have the license. No matter if you prefer MCU or one of his comic book styles, chances are Hasbro will or has already made a figure based on it!

When it comes to action figures, we feel that Thor is certainly right up there with Marvel characters that have the most. While we have looked at some epic Thor action figures today, many of which someone in the Geek’s Office has in their own collection.
